Our mission is to train the next generation of human talent in aerospace by combining the best in human and artificial intelligence.
Paladin AI is pioneering state-of-the-art adaptive learning technology. We are a leader in applying the power of artificial intelligence to the complex learning environments present in aerospace. Pilots are expected to respond to the unexpected with skill and composure. Safety in aviation depends on crews trained in a broad base of technical and nontechnical competencies.
We have built the first independent, device-agnostic training tool that integrates with flight simulators to provide insights to pilots and instructors about the skill and readiness demonstrated in each flight.
Our team of technologists, designers, programmers, and AI engineers is dedicated to the understanding of how people learn and how to bring out the best in each pilot.

What is the role of artificial intelligence?
Can Artificial Intelligence help make safer pilots?
We believe that AI will transform every industry, including aviation. AI is already present in aviation in many ways: from routing your bags, to setting ticket prices, to optimizing fuel efficiency during flight.
Automation has made air travel much safer. It remains one of the safest ways to travel anywhere. But safety depends not just on automation, but on competent human pilots with good judgment, deep knowledge, and situational awareness. These skills allow pilots to adapt to challenging circumstances and emergencies.
At Paladin AI, we use artificial intelligence to identify the patterns of competency displayed by each pilot when they fly an aircraft, whether in the simulator or in real life. We use these insights to ensure that each pilot receives precisely the training they need to be ready to fly.
This approach not only makes aviation safer, but saves airlines money, and helps make aviation more inclusive by reducing the cost of learning how to fly.
Founders
Paladin AI was founded in 2013 as a group of industry thought leaders with expertise in training and data analytics, lead by a father-son team. In mid-2016, with Mikhail having recently defended a PhD in astrophysics, the company shifted to a larger vision: the bring about data-driven adaptive training as a technology startup.
Adolfo Klassen
Adolfo is a senior aviation executive with 30 years of industry experience, bringing state-of-the-art training technology to market. Before founding Paladin AI, he served as the Chief Technology Officer for CAE Inc., the largest training provider and simulator manufacturer in civil aviation.
Mikhail Klassen
Mikhail is a recognized expert in data mining and machine learning. He studied applied physics and applied math at Columbia University before completing a PhD in computational astrophysics. He cofounded Paladin AI and serves as the CTO.
